Utah’s

Presents
the
Utah Summer Games
MotoTrials

Hey Trials riders.  This is it, the event that we've been waiting for, to give you a spectacular area and event to ride it, but to also help put Observed Trials on the map with state wide television and media exposure!

Registration is open for the June 19th event with the Utah Summer Games (USG).  For those of you not familiar with the USG, this is a VERY BIG thing.  It's very much like a state wide version of the Olympics in that there are literally thousands of sporting events  involved, from basketball fencing to well... MotoTrials.  We called it MotoTrials to not get it confused with some of the other "trials" type competitions involved.   MotoTrials is the ONLY motorized event recognized as an olympic type sport that is allowed in the games.  This event is open not only to WTA members, but riders from all the surrounding states including, Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.  No other state that we are aware of has offered MotoTrials as a sport to be competed in an Olympic type venue.

You should register on line and then check-in with the USG prior to the event. Click here for the registration details

If you prefer to mail in your registration, you can download the PDF file here:  USG registration form (pdf format)
Mail it along with a $25 check for the entry fee to:

Utah Summer Games
351 West University Blvd.
Cedar City, Utah 84720

Check-In: Athletes (yeah that's you) need to check in at the SUU Sorenson PE Building, 560 W University Blvd., Cedar City prior to their event.  Each athlete will receive a welcome packet containing the official Utah Summer Games Athlete shirt, valuable coupons and other assorted goodies. Check-in will be open Thursday June 10 through Saturday June 19th 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM (every day except Sunday). All teams must have waivers signed by each team members if they are 18 or older, and by parents/guardians if they are under 18. NO EXCEPTIONS.

The USG takes care of all the registrations for us.  Registration fees are $25 per rider prior to June 19.    Registration can be done at the event for $35, but we encourage everyone to register prior to the event  All the information is available on the USG MotoTrials web site.  You must register online or by mail with the USG .   When you register with the USG, please send us an e-mail to UtahTrials (utahtrials@utahtrials.com) so we can keep track of registrations from our end.

We are super excited about this venue.  If you have ridden the Three Peaks area in Cedar City, you know what a spectacular area it is for Trials.  It has to be in the top three areas to ride in the the state.  You are welcome to come ride and practice Friday before the event (not on the courses of course) and enjoy this spectacular area.  If it wasn't for our participation with the USG, this area would not be available for us to have a competition.

If you are planning on motels, I encourage you to get rooms now as this is a very busy time in Cedar City, with the Summer Games, Shakespearean Festival and so on that goes on during the summer.
